Oatfield Farm & Stables

Oatfield is a family run, Bord Bia Approved business located in the tranquil countryside of Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The original farm cottage dates back to 1813 and was built as a herd house for the local Castlegar Estate. Today, the farm supports a mix of cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pigs, hens, ducks and geese. Also thrown into the mix are our two lovely dogs and slightly grumpy cat.

Along with the working farm, Oatfield is also home to the Farm Shop and Craft Gallery which houses unique works of art, selling everything from Ceramics to Prints, Jams, fresh seasonal Vegetables and our exceptional Lamb Cuts.

Oatfield Farm and Stables is located in the perfect spot to enjoy and interact with the beautiful Irish countryside, our visitors have loved their farm experience so much that we now offer short and long stays in our beautiful Holiday Cottage. We also offer Farm-Stays for international students wanting to learn English in a real hands-on environment.
